  • BOY TALK – A free educational event, sponsored by Covenant Health System, aimed at young men, ages 10-13, and their parents, guardian or caregiver to focus on topics from physical and emotional changes to communication and self-esteem.   • TEEN STRAIGHT TALK – Fall, spring and summer meetings held throughout Lubbock for preteens/teens and their parents. Community leaders address peer pressure, self-esteem, difficult decisions, and more. Lots of discussion opportunities.   • BRIDGE TO SUCCESS MENTORING – A program that equips and empowers teens to discover and reach their full potential in life. Located at 1301 Redbud Ave (former Posey Elementary). Contact: 806-687-0772.
  • FAMILY NEIGHBORHOOD MENTORS – A program designed to help pregnant, at-risk women in the 79404 zip code to find and utilize resources and referrals. Contact: 806-795-7552 or www.parentingcottage.com
  • FAMILY PLUS – A program of the Lubbock Boys and Girls Club designed to involve Parents Leading, Uniting, Serving. The purpose is to bring stability to homes, which will help the child to be successful. Contact: 806-792-2880
  • PARKRIDGE PREGNANCY CENTER – A non-profit professional medical clinic that has offered free and confidential services since 1993, by providing pregnancy testing, STD/STI testing and treatment, confidential counseling, ultrasounds, client support programs and more.   • PLANNED PARENTHOOD - An organization that provides women and men with complete reproductive health care. Comprehensive counseling exists for teens and parents. Education and counseling is offered on birth control methods, including the options of condom use and referral for abortion. STD and HIV testing and treatment is available.   • PROJECT TAKING CHARGE – An abstinence-based educational program, developed by the American Association of Family and Consumer Science and the Office of Adolescent Pregnancy. It is geared for children, ages 11-17, and includes a parental component. It is presented by the City of Lubbock Health Department (Health Education Department).   • STORK'S NEST – A prenatal program which provides incentives to expectant moms for maintaining a healthy pregnancy. Located at 2315 50th, Suite B. Contact: 806-762-6730.
